Candyland themed backdrop

 Hi there, i had the opportunity to do this party of my co-mommy in school last year. She hired me to do her stage setup only. I did the candyland “gingerman house” and added a few all-time favorite desserts in front of the house.

I just added this candy themed entrance signage. That balloon pillar is also cute by the way, but sad to say i didnt do that. She hired another person to do all the balloons for the venue. I think you should try it also because its much cheaper, shes going to pay for the labor only and all the materials (balloons) are hers, which we can buy and source it out  at a very cheaper price.

These signage is made of styrofoam which we just painted and the prints were printed from a tarpaulin. We just cut it accordingly to its shape.

Maddi’s Aladdin themed party

Hello everyone. 
Im back after a million years. It just crossed my mind to finally write something down again. And finally revive this page for you guys.
First of all, its the 4th of May year 2020. May the force be with us. Because we are all experiencing lockdowns all over the world due to the corona virus pandemic. Im living in Asia so the lockdowns here are more than a month already. We are just following orders and Staying indoors. keeping ourselves busy and mind in sane. I have here lots of previous parties that i did couple of years back. I will be glad to share it with you as i start again to write blogs for you guys. 

Let me just start with my nieces 7th birthday party last January 2020.

My sister decided to have an Aladdin themed party. Because the movie Aladdin was just released last year (2019) and the 10 year old in me is so excited, bringing back those memories in 1992 aladdin animated movie. we all fell in love all over again. Especially now that its more focused on Jasmines character who is more stronger and fierced in the movie. The feels of the actors are like bollywood. I love it! 

If you will see, i just like doing 2 dimensional design on my backdrops. First, its more easy to do. Secondly, its cheaper. And lastly, its still the same vibe as doing 3D decorations. 

I decided to do a simple castle pillars of the old cartoon movie. The sultans castle. And then just did an arabian vibe of the door.  My nieces favorite color is pink so i added a lot of pink colors all through out the decorations.

The Aladdin / Arabian night theme for this party wouldn’t be complete without the swags or canopy above the ceilings. It just make the BIG difference. Am i right? I insisted this to my sister because she doesnt want to put anymore but i told her that its going to be the highlight of the decorations. And it would feel empty without it knowing that the venue has a high ceiling. 

 

I also did the table centerpiece with just a clear vase with a faux flowers, pearl necklace, a gold frame with her picture, battery operated candles, a gold doily paper and a plastic genie lamp which i ordered online. Oops i also have a fairy light there which we forgot to turn on during the party. Lol. My bad! 

The dessert table was great, so many pastries and chocolates to choose from. and this cake my sister ordered looks so nice. It also light up.

Table Centerpiece

TABLE CENTERPIECE

Starting of with a simple balloon table centerpiece, balloons on stick is very easy and practical to do. I have here simple centerpieces for christenings and birthdays. You can go on with any color and design that you wish, depending on the motif of the occasion. For simple ones, Just do a flower balloon design or a one piece balloon with a twisted balloon on it, wrapped the pot or a glass container with a stone inside to make it heavier then add colorful wrappers and ribbons. You're all set.

Centerpieces can go as much as doing a lot of work than simple ones. At the first picture, you can see a simple pot wrapped in themed blue colors of superman and i just simply printed a superman logo to matched the decors. You can also add helium balloons on it.

Another fantastic centerpiece, is a fan folded board paper. This pot that is used is wrapped with thin net cloth and wrappers with a nice ribbon and pearls on it. I printed a picture of the baby that i attached in the center of the folded fan.

Another centerpiece is a 3D centerpiece that will surely matches your theme. Like this Miami heat themed birthday party table centerpiece. We used a round Styrofoam and glued in printed pictures and basketball ring at the background.

To notice the centerpiece more, we attached 2 hanging balloons to create a more vibrant look on it.

These were some of my Hanging Balloon decorations for birthdays, christenings, debuts and other occasions. Usually, Hanging balloons are my favorites because the venue will look much prettier when they are hanged in a wide open ceiling.Together with a canopy, it'll be perfect. Enough balloons can make a difference in an empty looking venue.

Color combination is also important. I prefer having character themed birthdays so that it is much easier to think, organize and decorate the party.Pinks and purples are the best seller color combination for girls and blues for the boys.Also depending on the character theme.

Table Centerpiece

For me, Table Centerpiece is a must have. I had these metallic yellow balloon in a wrapped pot with a bear attached on it for additional touch for my sons christening. The guests liked it so much, and it is also served as part of their christening souvenir. Flowers is also used, can be for christenings or other formal events but for birthdays, i prefer balloons.You wouldn't want an empty table in front of your guest right. 

Tarpaulin

A tarpaulin is much suggested for stage backdrops. It is cheaper, easier to set-up, and much idealistic for a budgeted not so over glammed party. Styrofoam backdrop/background is also very popular. But it cost so much. Idealistic for big glamorous parties.

Balloon Pillar

This set-up is also best paired with balloon pillars and some hanging corner balloons. A big plus is the drapings at the back. I had this decorated by the caterers, they are pros in this.

 Balloon for Cake is being popularized now. I call it "cake balloon", if someone orders at my shop. It can add additional decoration for your cake table.
